  11. The full version of ADash removes timing restrictions from both ADash and
  12. ADashPrefs...the demo version is limited to running for only 15 minutes at
  13. a time and will expire on October 1, 1996.  (A new demo will be available at
  14. that time.)  You also get 52 separate blanker modules (the demo comes with 
  15. only fifteen) and 16 images for use with the display blanker module (the 
  16. demo comes with only 1 single image).  Purchase of ADash also entitles you 
  17. to free upgrades as they become available either via email or by mail for 
  18. the price of shipping and handling and new diskettes.

  40. ***Incompatibilities***

  42. Some beta testers experienced problems when using ADash and an older version
  43. of Thor and/or GetTCP (internet software).  If you experience intermittant 
  44. crashes while using ADash, try adding the following tooltype, 'COMPATREPORT',
  45. to the ADash icon you use to start the program using the Workbench 
  46. 'Icons/Information...' menu option.  This makes ADash use an alternate method 
  47. of catching newly started tasks for cpu activity reporting.  This alternate 
  48. method may cause the reported cpu usage to be less accurate for a second or 
  49. two when a new task is spawned but is otherwise identical.

  52. ***Display Blanker Module and Datatypes***
  53.  
  54. ADash comes with a blanker module called 'Display', which allows you to 
  55. create a slideshow type of effect for screen blanking.  Included with the
  56. package are several JPEG encoded images for use with this module.  If you 
  57. have V3.0 or higher of the Workbench, several datatypes, including a JPEG 
  58. datatype are installed in your boot drive.  Display uses these datatypes 
  59. under 3.0 or higher to allow it to read in a variety of types of pictures 
  60. besides the normal system supported IFF format.  However, if your Amiga is 
  61. using V2.0 or 2.1 of the operating system, these datatypes are not supported 
  62. and the Display module can only display IFF format pictures.  In this case, 
  63. you will need to convert the supplied JPEGS into IFF ILBMs using any of a 
  64. number of public domain and shareware programs available through PD 
  65. collections or on Aminet.

  68. ***Third Party Graphics Cards and ADash***

  70. Most of the ADash blanker modules will work just fine with graphics cards.
  71. However, a few, due to their hardware dependant nature, may not function
  72. properly, at all, or may crash.  Modules which most likely will not work
  73. except with standard Amiga hardware modes (and thus don't try them with
  74. graphics card displays) include:
